Individually we are all affected by cancer in some way, through your generosity at Go Dad Run, Big C can continue to support and care for more patients and families living with cancer in Norfolk & Waveney, as well as investing in pioneering research and cancer treatment, diagnosis and prevention, directly making a difference to people locally.
Our story begins right here in East Anglia and we're proud to make a local difference. We were established in 1980 by two Norfolk men who had to travel to London and Cambridge for treatment, often finding this journey harder than the journey itself they vowed the people living in this region would have better access to treatment and support closer to where they live. Thanks to the wonderful community of supporters, individuals and volunteers who have worked tirelessly for more than 35 years, over £25 million has been raised.
This has been invested in diagnostic and medical equipment in Norfolk's hospitals enabling more people to be treated locally with faster, more accurate, and less invasive cancer treatments and improved care rates.
Big C's support for world-class research into cancer, taking place across the Norwich Research Park has funded some incredible developments and discoveries.
Big C Support and Information Centres in Norwich, King's Lynn, Great Yarmouth and Gorleston are used by thousands of patients, families and carers every year.
