Once you complete your registration you will have the opportunity to sponsor or support Prostate Cancer UK, Bowel Cancer UK, Orchid, CALM or Tenovus Cancer Care. Thank you!

Getting There

If you are using a mobile device, the postcode for the park is CF10 3DX, but please note this is for guidance only as the park covers a large area.

Pay and display car parking facilities are available nearby in Sophia Gardens (CF11 9LJ), Castle Mews (CF10 3ER) and North Road (CF10 3EA).

Bute Park is very accessible by public transport. There are several bus stops situated along Castle Street to the south, and along North Road to the east.

The West Gate entrance at the southern end of Bute Park is roughly 10 minutes walk from Cardiff Central station and 15 minutes walk from Cardiff Queen Street.

There are cycles racks available outside the Education Centre and by all 3 cafes.

Toilets

These will be situated close the Event Hub.

Bag Storage

This is located next to the registration tents at the Event Hub. Please note that space is limited so it is best to travel as lightly as possible.

Warm-up

The group warm up will commence approximately 20 minutes before the 5K is due to start.

The start

The 5K run will begin at 10.30 am and will take you twice around the park so we will start gathering you into the start area at 10.20 am. The run will finish where it began.

The 10K run will start from the same place, 10 minutes after the start of the 5K, and take you four times around the park.

The finish

When you cross the finish line you’ll be handed your Sanlam Go Dad Run medal and your Big Yellow Goodie Bag. The first three home in each of the 5K and 10K will also be awarded special prizes.
